If you’re having trouble thinking up new ideas for your kids, that don’t involve candy I’ve got you covered. To keep your kids busy, I’ve designed these easy-to-use activity dice. These dice can be printed, stuck together to provide hours of fun at home.
What You Need
The best thing about this crafty Easter project is that it only requires a few materials you probably already have on hand. You won’t need anything fancy. First, grab the free printable, some paper or card grab your scissors and fire up your printer.
- Free Printables (link below)
- Bright White Paper or Card
- Scissors
- Double side tape or glue
- Print off the dice onto card or paper.
- Cut out around the outline of the dice template.
- Fold along each line and glue the tabs to form a cube.
- Cut out around the colorful easter eggs markers.
- Take turns to roll the dice and complete the activity written on the side facing upwards
There are two printable dice, one with pictures of eggs and one with an action that needs to be performed. There are also different-sized eggs you can print out. To make your dice more durable, use some bright white card stock rather than paper. You could laminate the eggs if you want them to last for a few game.
Playing the Game
This Easter game can be played solo, but it will be so much more fun when there is more than one playing. Start by scattering the colorful eggs around the room or outside in the garden. Then have each player take turns rolling both of the dice. The aim is to travel from egg to egg following the movement shown on the other die (e.g., hop, bounce, leap). Kids will love running around, hopping and bouncing from egg to egg! Don’t forget to add some music as well—it’ll make it even more fun!
STAY AT HOME EASTER SCAVENGER HUNT
Use the dice to set up a fun Easter afternoon when the kids. Especially when they have a bit too much energy from all of that chocolate. Set up is super simple game. Instead of placing the eggs on the ground, hide them around the house. This Easter dice game will keep the kids minds occupied and bodies engaged long enough for you to enjoy a hot beverage.
- Hide the eggs around the house.
- Players take turns to roll the dice.
- They will hunt for the egg shown on their dice
- They will use the activity on their other dice while they hunt.
The players can keep rolling until they have found all the eggs on the dice.
