How to Create an Easter Escape Room
Creating your own DIY Easter escape room is easier than you think! Grab this ready-made game from my shop, which has all the materials needed for play. All you have to do is print the materials out and follow the simple instructions for setup.
Make It A Real Escape Room Experience
If you want to take things up a notch, throw in some Easter decorations, fun props, and costumes. These extra touches make it feel like a real-life escape room experience!
Even better add some locks into your game. The Easter escape room kit already includes a printable lock kit and poster pack to help you make this feel like a real escape room experience, with minimal effort required on your end.

You will find this fun candy counting lock puzzle included in the kit as an added extra. This is so simple to set up and was definitely one of my kids’ favorite tasks.
All you need to do is set a three-digit lock to match the number of each colored Cadbury mini eggs.
Fun Easter Escape Room Puzzles
You will find a good variety of different puzzles. Some are a little trickier than others, but there is a hint sheet included in the kit if the players need help. As the game master, you can always step in and offer some hints and tips.
Part of the fun of playing an escape game is working through a puzzle and getting that aha moment. Of course, if you see that the players are starting to get frustrated, that’s your cue to step in and offer assistance. Here are some of the puzzles you will find in the kit.
Broken Easter Eggs
Players find and assemble four different colored Easter eggs. When they are put back together, they will reveal to players the directions they need to move across the game board.

Throw in a lock to this puzzle, and you instantly add an extra layer of fun. Take half of the broken eggs and choose a box, bag or container to lock them away. The players will need to figure out how to open the lock before they can solve the whole puzzle.
A simple clue card attached to the locked box is all you need. You can create a simple sum that need to be solved to reveal a three-digit number. Or reveal the location of a hidden key, but use a secret code.
Love this idea?. Try adding some of these secret codes into your escape room.
Carrot Wordsearch
When you set up this puzzle, hide the carrots all over the room and have the players search high and low for them. When they have found them all, cross off each of the words on the Carrot box word search.

A fun idea would be to laminate the carrots and use slime (jelly baff or water beads) to hide them. Players need to fish through and retrieve each of the carrot words, it’s slimy, and kids LOVE it!
Easter Treat Cipher Wheel
Cipher wheels are one of my favorite activities. They are a lot of fun to use. Players decipher the images in the puzzle to reveal the answer they need.
Each image on the wheel represents a letter.

Love this idea? Then you will love my Secret Code Easter Treasure Hunt. Players use a cipher wheel to decode the clue locations, its an egg hunt with a twist.
Certificates and more
When the game is finished, what better way to remember the fun you had than posing for some photos? Use the props included in the kit to strike a pose and capture the fun you just had.
You will find a certificate that you can print for each of the players. Throw in some Easter treats, and you have the perfect finish to your game.
