Organising an Easter egg hunt is no small feat, especially if you’re crafting a whole host of clues from the ground up. But guess what? I’m here to sprinkle a little magic into your Easter festivities! Having planned egg hunts for what feels like forever, I’m practically a veteran.

My memories are filled with epic family get-togethers. I have three much older siblings, so I grew up with my nieces and nephews. I remember traveling to Scotland to my sister’s house; it was bloomin’ cold. Despite the nippy weather (hello, almost perpetual rain!), the Easter egg hunt my sister put together was just fab.

The tradition didn’t just end with my childhood; it found its way to my own kids, and I have created various hunts over the years. Today, I’m going to share the simplest and easiest to set up an Easter egg hunt. This is a treasure hunt type scavenger hunt where your kids will follow a list of clues to find a surprise at the end!

Easter Egg Hunt Treasure Ideas

What kind of treasure will await your players at the end of the Easter egg hunt? Solving all the clues deserves a reward, doesn’t it? A gift basket full of goodies, perhaps. Here are some suggestions for Easter-themed treasure hunt gifts that will have your players hopping with excitement:

  • Customized Easter Eggs: Imagine the surprise in the kids eyes when they find an egg with their name on it!
  • Bunny Bucks: If you want to do something a little different and not have a basket full of chocolate, how about some bunny bucks? Use these as a gifts family movie nights, extra screen time or other fun activities.
  • DIY Craft Kits: Unleash their creativity. I was (am) a crafting fan, so my kids would always get something to spark their imagination. I found that the pound store always has some mini craft packs. The bonus is that they keep the kids entertained over the half-term, too!
  • Green Finger Gifts: For our green-thumbed adventurers, little kits with seeds for planting their own flowers or herbs. I used to love growing cress seeds with my kids when they were little. I love these cress seed kits; lots of fun.
  • Bookworm Gifts: Reading is a great skill to foster in your kids early on. You can find a lovely selection of books and perhaps color your own bookmark craft activity as an easter gift.
  • Cookie-making kit: This is a fun treasure hunt gift, as it keeps on giving and lets you spend quality time together as a family making delicious treats.
  • Chocolate: It is Easter, so why the heck not?
  • A Board game: Another gift that is great for the whole family.
