Fairy Party Printables

So you’re hosting a fairy party.  The aim of this blog post is to give you a few creative ideas on things you can make cheaply and easily at home, but still give that wow factor. Pick one, or pic a few ideas for your party. Hopefully, I will give you some fun and creative party printables you can use to make your party pop (and maybe a spot of party envy for other parents lol).

Party Bags, Yes or No?

Not everyone puts together a party bag; I love them. I remember how excited I was as a kid to get one. Comparing the contents with your school friends and excitedly seeing what surprises accompany the obligatory squashed slice of cake. There was always a bouncing ball and a yoyo that noone could get to work 😂 , well that’s what you got when I was a kid in the 80’s.

For my own kids’ parties, I always look to include inexpensive activities. I’m not a fan of the bulk pinata-style gifts. My kids never use them, and they seem to be a waste of my hard-earned money. Typical me, I have always tried to get a little creative with the kid’s party bags and usually end up creating printables or little stationery packs. What are your thoughts when it comes to party bags? Are they a big thing where you are in the world?

Printable Gift Bag Tags!

I’ve put together a few printables that make theming your party bag a breeze. There are some freebies thrown in their too. The first printable set are some gift bag tags. I have included two different sizes, just print out the one that suits your size of favor bag. In the picture above I have used the jumbo sized tags, it can double up as a thank you note to your guests. There are some not-so-jumbo ones (technical term 😂lol), so you get more per printable sheet saving you ink!

I’ve used the large tags to attach to some plain white paper bags. Tied them to the bag with an assortment of ribbons and some funky fibers I found in one of my many craft boxes. Then I stuffed the bag with bright tissue paper and the party gifts.

  • Funky Fibers: there are loads of different types to use from, I love the textures.
  • Paper Favor Bags: I used white paper bags but there are so many different types to choose from.

Affordable party bag fillers

With the idea of creating fun but affordable party bag fillers, here you’ll find a collection of fairy-themed printables. With the small addition of crayons and hairbands, you can have some fab favours to add to your kid’s party bag. Bonus, not a plastic ball or yoyo insight.

  • Fairy Mini Colouring pages
  • Fairy Hair Scrunchie Tag
  • Bookmarks
  • Treat bag toppers
  • Tic Tac Toe Game
  • Puzzle pages etc

Making these fairy party favours couldn’t be easier. Print out the fairy illustrations onto bright white card and cut out and around the design. Wrap some pretty scrunchies around the fairies’ ponytail for a super cute party favour in minutes! I purchased my hair scrunchies from a shop called Primark in the UK, but I found these ones similar on Amazon. I would bet you can find something suitable locally.

MINI COLOURING BOOKS AND NOTEPAPER

These are really cute, and with the addition of some pencils, stackable crayons and some cute erasers, you have a nice addition to your party bag. Each 8.5″x11″ sheet of paper has four different note papers or colouring pages. You can cut them out and assemble them to make mini stationery packs, or print them double-sided and fold to make mini books. I also made a cute wrap to tie around the pages, themed to match the gift tags.

  • 2 sheets of colour page images (8 mini pages)
  • 1 sheet of lined note paper (4 mini pages)
  • 1 sheet of plain note paper (4 mini pages)
  • Decorative wraps to add to your paper packs

tic tac toe game

This is an easy-to-put-together game. I would imagine that most people know tic-tac-toe. This is just that but with a fairy twist. You can use it as a game during your party. Perfect as people are just arriving, it will keep guests entertained while they wait. You can also print out the game to pop inside your fairy party bag! I have used paper makers for the printable, but you could include painted pebbles or perhaps these tic-tac-toe candies called funables.

Looking for more fairy activities?

I have a really fun fairy escape room hunt game. There are a ton of puzzles and you can set up an epic party activity or just as a fun way to reveal some birthday presents. It is a cross between a treasure hunt and an escape room all mixed together!

When planning any event my first stop is always to open up Pinterest.  I love seeing other people’s ideas. If you have never used Pinterest I recommend you check it out. Especially if you are a visual person like myself, be careful though, I have lost countless hours of my life scrolling and admiring all the pretty pictures. Basically, you need to be strong, gather together all kinds of ideas from food, decoration and games, then escape while you still can, haha! In all seriousness, I absolutely love Pinterest. Why not pin some of these ideas for later?!
