St Patrick’s day scavenger hunt prizes

With gift tags provided that you can use to attach to pocket money gifts, chocolate coins, or some more fun St Patrick’s day fun. I have always loved to give my kids themed books, and stationery packs and candies. It makes sure everyone gets something extra special from this activity.

YOU WILL NEED

This is so easy to prepare. You will need to get a copy of the game which you can grab below.

  • Bright white/paper or cardstock
  • A printer
  • pens or pencils to mark the boards
  • A big prize for the end of the hunt or small pocket money gifts.

When you have downloaded the St. Patrick’s day scavenger hunt game, print it out onto bright white paper or cardstock. I highly recommend laminating the cards so you can play the game over and over again. If you laminate the main card, players can use a whiteboard pen to tick off each item. When the game is done wipe off the marks and you can reuse them again next year.

How to set up the scavenger hunt

This hunt is easy to set up and is an activity that will last longer than thirty seconds, more than some kids’ activities! With all the picture cards ready, all you need to do is place them all over the house garden or classroom for the players to find. Pin them to walls, laying on the sofa, peeking out from a book. You really can place them anywhere. Have some outside in your garden and others all over the house. Use the handy tracker to keep note of where you have hidden the cards…believe me I have forgotten on more than one location where I have placed them!

How to play the scavenger hunt?

You are free to choose how you want to play. If you have a large group of players have them play in teams or let them play individually and have the game as a race to see who can find all the St. Patrick’s day pictures first.

I have included prize tags that match each of the cards the players need to find. You can leave a pile of small pocket money prizes at each location and attach the matching tag. The players can collect each of the tags filling up a bag full of goodies as they search for the rest of the cards. This way, you can also spot any cheats. The person who has marked off the card on their game board but doesn’t have a prize may be telling a porky pie!

  1. Make sure that you go over the ground rules: Mention any rooms/locations that are out of bounds. Also, state whether or not they can look through drawers and cupboards. Trust me, the kids can turn into little Tasmanian devils once the race is on!
  2. Decide if you are going to set a time limit, if you are, grab your timer.
  3. Give each player a copy of the game board where they will mark off all the cards they find.
  4. Give each player something to mark their board with.
  5. Let them lose lol!
