Valentines Day Scavenger Hunt Your Kids Will Go Crazy For

Valentines doesn’t have to be all romantic dinners just for you and your partner. I know I have mentioned it before, but my hubby and I don’t go in for all the cards, chocolates and flowers. Don’t get me wrong I like the occasional bunch of flowers, but I don’t expect anything just because it’s Valentines. Instead, I would much rather spend time with my family having fun and showing them that I love them all, even if they don’t load the dishwasher properly! So a Valentines Day Scavenger Hunt is just the ticket

I have a great treasure hunt perfect for playing as a family, solving clues and puzzles to find the prize at the end. Yes, there has to be some reward for the end of the game, and as its Valentines, it has to be chocolate or candy in our house!

What Ages Is The Valentines Scavenger Hunt Suitable For?

There is something in the game everyone can do, from deciphering codes to finding envelopes. Children younger than six will need help as there is reading involved, but everyone old and young should get stuck into work together to find the reward at the end.

How Long Does The Scavenger Hunt take to Set Up

I’m not going to lie; when I make one of my hunts from printing and cutting out the clues to adding in the extra activities, it probably takes me about an hour to set everything up. Keep in mind the hunts can last well over an hour.

You don’t have to go to the lengths I do setting up your valentines scavenger hunt. I love adding clues hidden in slime or hiding clues in balloons, locked boxes or on occasion I will freeze them. I like to make the scavenger hunts like mini escape room games. So you can use the puzzle pieces and hide them like a regular prize hunt.

How Many Puzzles Are There?

There are fourteen premade puzzles, cyphers and activities. But there is no set route to play so if you only want to play 5 locations you can do that. This is an excellent option if you have limited time to play, plus you can save the rest of the activities for another day.
