Easter is nearly upon us and if you are anything like me, you will be super excited about the holiday but absolutely NOT so excited about the sugar highs that follow the Easter egg haul! Here are some great ideas to help you make your kids’ Easter the most “egg-citing’ ever and as a bonus will help them burn off some of that Easter chocolate!

I have put together a list of Easter games for kids that are not only fun for the little people but even adults can get in on the action too. I don’t know about you but I intend to throughly enjoy a Chocolate egg or two so a bit of activity will certainly do wonders for my over indulgence.

Fun Family Easter Games

I LOVE so many of these activities! My families Easter is going to be BOUNCING this year and it is all because of these fab ideas!!

Potato Sack Race -Love, love, love this simple activity. Grab some sacks and set off on a race.

I’m so lucky to have a large family so we usually split up into teams and have an epic family relay race. We like to mix the teams up with all ages to make the race fair.  This year I’m planning some Easter sports day activities and this will definitely be making an appearance in my lineup. BUY HERE

Egg and Spoon Race – Another really easy Easter game that kids will love. All you need is some spoons and eggs and away you go. I prefer not using real eggs as I hate wasting food. I picked up some really nice wooden eggs that I use year after year.

To make the Easter game more of a challenge make an obstacle course for players to navigate through.  Have objects to climb over, crawl under and move around. Issue penalty points to anyone who drops their egg.

Easter carnival style can toss – I have made my own version of this carnival classic in the past using  cans from my cupboard. If you don’t fancy making your own this is an affordable set and does the job perfectly, plus you can use it year after year. This Easter game set includes 10  different designed tin cans and 3 beanbags. They are pretty cute and on the reverse of the characters there are numbers you can use as a points.  BUY HERE

Inflatable Bunny Rabbit Ears Ring Toss – Grab the inflatable rings and aim for the bunny ears.

Incorporate the bunny ears into a game of tag. Have one player wearing the ears, they must run around until tagged by another player. They must then stop and stand still while the other player throws the rings at the bunny ears. They earn a point for each ring they get over the ears, if they miss the bunny wins a point. Players can take turns running around wearing the ears. BUY HERE

Easter Egg Dice Action Game – I have put together a simple printable activity that you can use this Easter. The Easter game is so easy to set up and the printable kit has everything you need to get playing.

In the kit you will find 6 colourful, large easter eggs and a smaller sheet if you want to save on ink. Included you will find two sets of printable dice. One has the pictures of the eggs and the other has an action word.

Print out and place the eggs around your garden or a clear space in your home, leave a good distance between the eggs.  Print out, cut and stick the Easter activity eggs. The players will then take turns to roll both dice. One dice will reveal the location of the egg they must travel to and the other the action they must use to get there.  The kids will be hopping, skipping and jumping around from egg to egg.
