What’s your pirate name?
To start the celebrations, you need to choose a fitting pirate name. You can go with a classic like Blackbeard or Captain Kidd, or get creative with names like Sharkbait or Long John Silver.
I have a printable set with a “What’s your pirate name” poster and printable name tags that you can use. These are great fun if you host a pirate party with people who do not know each other. They work well as an icebreaker. Grab a copy of the What’s your pirate name printable kit.
Here is a list of fun pirate party ideas.

Now, I love any excuse to host an escape room, so of course, that will be one of my go-to activities. Get everyone to dress up as pirates, send out treasure map invitations inviting people to your event and get ready to escape.
Skull Island
You have been invited to join Blackbeard’s infamous pirate gang and share in the loot, but to prove you are worthy you must discover the secret pirate words. Fail and you must walk the plank and become shark bait!
Have a pirate feast
I love food so an easy pirate party ideas is to host a pirate-themed feast if you want to take your celebration to the next level. Your menu can include dishes like fish and chips, roasted chicken, and plenty of rum (for the grown-ups, of course), and some root beer floaters would be a great option for the kids. Decorate your table with pirate-themed props like skull and crossbones flags and gold doubloons to add to the ambience.
Finally, end your pirate day with a movie night. Settle in with some popcorn and Pirates of the Caribbean playing on the TV, a perfect end to a pirate-filled day.
