HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN ACTIVITIES
How many days until Halloween? All I know is that I can’t wait until the big day. As soon as the kids go back to school, we start planning everything related to Halloween. Whether you’re a parent looking for fun activities for your kids or just a Halloween enthusiast like me, there are bound to be some fun ideas you can use to get into the festive spirit!
This year, I have put together a Halloween countdown kit. You print out the envelopes and place an activity card inside. Then, each day, the kiddies open a new envelope, and you do what is written on the card.
The activities range from watching a Halloween film to making cookies, going to a pumpkin patch, or learning the dance to thriller. Here is a list of fun ideas that you could include in your own Halloween countdown from baking tasty treats to fun party games.
Halloween Activity Ideas

- Write a short Ghost Story.
- Make Halloween Marshmallow Pops.
- Make Spooky Slime.
- Decorate a Haunted Gingerbread House. Add colored sprinkles and black icing for a deliciously spooky effect.

HOW TO PLAN YOUR COUNTDOWN
You don’t have to do an activity every day. Let’s face it most of us don’t have the time or, to be fair, the inclination. Double thumbs up, though if you are going all in and are planning the full 31 days of activities, I salute you.
If like me you don’t have the time I would suggest that you choose a few activities you know your kids will love and you can easily incorporate into your everyday life. Watching films and reading books are easy to plan into your week. Other activities like baking or treasure hunts that take more prep are probably best to schedule for the weekend.
