Affordable party bag fillers

I wanted to create some fun but affordable party bag fillers, so I set about putting together a collection of fairy-themed printables for you. Grab a copy of the free printables at the bottom of this blog post.

With the small addition of crayons and hairbands, you can create some fab favours to add to your kid’s party bag. Bonus, not a plastic ball or yoyo insight. Here is a list of party favors that ive put together for you .

  • Colouring pages – a mini fairy-themed coloring book.
  • Note Paper – add a cute pen or pencil and voila!
  • Fairy Hair Scrunchie Tag – I love these, add an inexpensive hair scrunchy for a fab gift.
  • Treat bag toppers – Just to tie everything together.
  • Tic Tac Toe Game – Easy to play for all ages.

Mini Coloring Books & Notepaper

These are really cute, and with the addition of some pencils, stackable crayons and some cute erasers, you have a nice addition to your party bag.

Each printable sheet includes four fairy colouring pictures or note pages. You can cut them out to make mini colouring packs, print double-sided, and you’ll only need to use one piece of paper.

Add the matching wrap (included in the free kit) to hold the pages neatly and keep everything on theme with the gift tags.

  • 2 sheets of colour pages (8 mini pages)
  • 1 sheet of lined note paper (4 mini pages)
  • 1 sheet of plain note paper (4 mini pages)
  • Decorative wraps to add to your paper packs

fairy hair scrunchie Favor

Making these fairy party favours couldn’t be easier. Print out the fairy illustrations onto bright white card and cut out and around the design. Wrap some pretty scrunchies around the fairies’ ponytail for a super cute party favour in minutes!

I purchased my hair scrunchies from a shop called Primark in the UK, but I found these ones similar on Amazon. I bet you can find something suitable at your local supermarket.

tic tac toe game

This is an easy-to-put-together game. I would imagine that most people know tic-tac-toe. This is just that but with a fairy twist. You can use it as a game during your party. Perfect as people are just arriving, it will keep guests entertained while they wait.

Why not use it as a party favor? I’ve included two sizes into the free kit. A large version that can be used during the party and a smaller version (two games per printable page) that would be brilliant for a party favor.

Print out the game and for durability I would suggest printing on bright white healaminate them to make it last! I have used acorn and mushroom paper counters for each player. It would be a great addition if you could include painted pebbles or perhaps these tic-tac-toe candies called funables. Pop inside your fairy party bag

Printable Gift Bag Tags!

I’ve put together a few printables that make theming your party bag a breeze. There are some freebies thrown in their too. The first printable set are some gift bag tags. I have included two different sizes, just print out the one that suits your size of favor bag.

A white gift bag filled with pink tissue paper adorned with an oversized Fairy goody bag gift tag.

In the picture above I have used the jumbo-sized tags, it can double up as a thank you note to your guests. There are some not-so-jumbo ones (technical term 😂lol), so you get more per printable sheet saving you ink!

I’ve used the large tags to attach to some plain white paper bags. Tied them to the bag with an assortment of ribbons and some funky fibers I found in one of my many craft boxes. Then I stuffed the bag with bright tissue paper and the party gifts. I used these white paper favor bags, but there are so many different colors to choose from.

Why parents love this fairy favor kit

  • A practical keepsake kids will love to use.
  • Lightweight and flat, perfect for popping in party bags.
  • No plastics in sight!
  • Print as many as you need for your party.

Supplies Needed:

Below are the supplies I recommend to get the best out of your new printable!

  • Bright White Cardstock – use for the tags and tic-tac-toe game. For a sturdy finish.

Party Bags, Yes or No?

Not everyone puts together a party bag; I love them. I remember how excited I was as a kid to get one. Comparing the contents with your school friends and excitedly seeing what surprises accompany the obligatory squashed slice of cake. There was always a bouncing ball and a yo-yo that no one could get to work 😂 . Well, that says a lot about what it was like growing up as a kid in the 80’s!

For my own kids’ parties, I always look to include inexpensive activities. I’m not a fan of the bulk piñata-style gifts. My kids never use them, and they seem to be a waste of my hard-earned money.

Typical me, I have always tried to get a little creative with the kid’s party bags and usually end up creating printables or little stationery packs. What are your thoughts when it comes to party bags? Are they a big thing where you are in the world?

It’s a really fun fairy-themed birthday party activity. I’ve done all the hard work so you can just print out and set it up. Click here to find out more about the fairy escape hunt game.
