Both the inside and outside kit comes complete with some traditional treasure hunt clues. If you don’t see the location in the kit you really want to use in your game you can use the editable template and create some of your own. This makes the kit a no-brainer. Easily add special locations to your hunt or just personalise the clues to your child and their friends.

Again the inside kit has lots of ready-made locations for you to use, but if you don’t want to use one of them just omit it from your game. Perhaps you would like a clue to send players to a special location or out into the garden, you can easily do this with one of the free choice puzzles. Or, if you are feeling creative, you can create some of your own clues using the template included in the kit.

Fun puzzles and activities

As well as templates, I have also created some puzzles that can be edited or used to lead to any location of your choice; how’s that for flexibility! One of my favourite clues is this simple activity card. Players are told to “Celebrate like you just scored a Goal to the next location”. All you need to do is write the location onto the card for where you want them to go next, simple, then watch as the kids celebrate. If your child is anything like my nephew, their T-Shirts will be over their head while fist bumping all the way to the next location!

One of the puzzles in the game involves popping balloons to reveal hidden messages that lead players to the next clue. Roll up the clue and place inside the balloons. Have the kids play a relay race with the balloons passing them over and under then popping each one at the end of the line. I do love adding different activities into my games to make them extra special. You can of course be as crazy or a simple as you like when it comes to setting up your own soccer party game. I always go a little OTT, I can’t help it!

Another simple clue that will get the kids burning some energy is this hide and seek clue. Somewhere in you venue place the picture of the trophy. Call out if they are hot or cold as the players get nearer or further from the trophy. You can use a real trophy and fill it with candy, have the clue tucked inside. This actual clue is super neat. You can only easily read the message if you tilt the image almost flat to your eye.

Secret messages

I love escape rooms, puzzles and ciphers, so it only makes sense to me to create secret messages into this soccer party game. This location is revealed when the players align the letter wheels in a certain way. the trophy displays the alignment needed. This one may be a little tricky for kids 6 and under but they can absolutely solve it with a little assistance from an older sibling or adult. You can leave the clue out of your game if you think it will be too difficult. Kids do love a challenge so these are great activities to get the brain cells firing!

Another cipher thats looks tricky but is actually super easy is this PigPen cipher. The shape of the grid around each letter is used instead of ordinary text, a lot of fun to decipher. To make your party go with a bang, don’t forget all the little extras. Things like themed decorations, party favours and of course, party food! Throw in some soccer balls and an obstacle course and you well on your way to a Pinterest perfect party!
