Easter is one of those holidays that creeps up on you. Suddenly you’re responsible for entertaining excited kids who have already eaten too much chocolate. If you’re looking for Easter games for kids that don’t involve complicated prep, expensive supplies, or hours of planning, you’re in the right place.

These Easter game ideas are easy to set up at home, work brilliantly for families, and include a mix of active games, printable activities, and puzzle-style fun (a few of my own Easter escape room and treasure hunt games that kids absolutely love). Let’s make this Easter “egg-citing’, sorry I couldn’t help it!

Fun Family Easter Games
I LOVE so many of these activities! My family’s Easter is going to be bouncing this year and it is all thanks to these fun ideas!
Printable Easter Games (Low Prep, Big Fun)
If you love the idea of Easter games but left it until the last minute, and Amazon won’t even deliver on time printable games are an absolute lifesaver.
I have designed all kinds of Easter games over the years, from escape rooms, treasure hunts, and family activities that you can print at home, set up in minutes, and run without needing any special equipment. They’re built to feel exciting and interactive — not like worksheets — and they work just as well for playing at home with your family or even in a classroom for an Easter party.
1. Easter Candy Dice
Try this fun Easter sweet twist on a dice game! Kids take turns rolling the dice, swapping, stealing, and picking up candy. It’s perfect for family gatherings, great for classrooms, and fun for all ages. Check out the full Easter candy dice game idea!
2. Easter Treasure Hunts
An Easter treasure hunt is one of those activities that everyone in the family can get behind. Don’t you just love searching for Easter goodies! Hunting for your Easter eggs is so much more exciting when you have to work for it.
There are so many different ways to set up a hunt. Whether you choose a simple rhyming hunt, a picture hunt, or something more challenging like a puzzle hunt, I love them all! However you choose to run your game, an Easter treasure hunt feels special to kids. I have created several different games over the years, and here is a list of the best Easter hunt games.
Secret Code Easter Hunt
Decipher the clues with a special Easter decoder wheel. Clues are given on egg-shaped clue cards that are hidden around the house. To reveal the next location, the players use the decoder wheel to decipher the secret message. Love this idea, check out the Secret Code Easter Hunt blog post for more details.

QR code Easter Egg Hunt
This activity is perfect for tweens and teens. Players scan the QR codes on the eggs to reveal the clues that appear on their phone or device. Older kids will love this because it feels a bit more grown-up. They still get to have some Easter fun without feeling too self-conscious! Check out this original QR code Easter Egg Hunt.
Puzzle Treasure Hunt
If your kids love puzzles but your looking for a twist on a traditional treasure hunt this game is a must try! Super easy to set up and play. Players solve puzzles at each clue location instead of the traditional rhyming clues. Check out this fun Easter Puzzle Treasure Hunt.
Cute Traditional Rhyming Hunt
You can’t go wrong with a traditional Easter egg hunt. Super simple to set up, and everyone knows what to do. If you want a done-for-you kit this one even has some fun photobooth props for when the hunting is done.
Looking for a simple activity you can easily set up, this is perfect. Find out more about this simple rhyming treasure hunt.
Inside & Outside Treasure Hunt
Create an epic treasure hunt with 48 different rhyming clues to choose from! You can’t go wrong with a traditional hunt, and this kit allows you to make it as big or as small as you need. You get to choose the order in which the clues are solved and because there are so many to choose from you can easily create a race with teams going on different routes! Check out the Easter Treasure Hunt clue bundle.
3. Easter Bingo
Easter Picture Bingo game is an easy win for classroom parties and family get-togethers. The cute easter cards are simple to print and play straight away. Laminate the cards and create a durable game that you can bring out year after year.

It’s low-prep, works for mixed ages, and keeps kids happily engaged without needing a lot of explanation. If you’d like to see how to set it up, grab the printable, and get tips for making it work with larger groups, head over to the full Easter Bingo blog post for everything you need to know.
4. Easter Escape Room Games
If your kids love puzzles, riddles, and cracking secret codes, an Easter escape room game is a brilliant way to level up your holiday fun. Instead of a traditional egg hunt, an escape room turns Easter into a hands-on challenge. Kids work together to solve Easter-themed puzzles and unlock the final surprise.
Escape Room For Families
I’ve been setting up Easter escape games for my own kids for years. Often using the final solution to reveal an Easter basket activities for them to do while on Easter break.
An escape room is a great game for families. Everyone can get involved solving puzzles together. It could even become an easter family tradition! Take a look at my Kids Escape Room for Easter blog post, where I walk you through one of my game setups.

Easter Garden Fun and Games

1. Sack Race
Love, love, love this simple activity. Grab some sacks and set off on a festive Easter sack race.
I’m so lucky to have a large family, we usually split up into teams and have an epic family relay race. We like to mix the teams up with all ages to make the race fair. This year I’m planning some Easter sports day activities and this will definitely be making an appearance in my lineup.
2. Easter Egg Dice Action Game
One of our favorite simple Easter activities is the Easter Dice Game. A screen-free way to get kids moving, jumping, bouncing and hopping all over the place. With just a pair of dice and colorful printable eggs, kids take turns to move to the Easter eggs around the room. It’s quick to set up, perfect for all ages, and a great energy-burner between egg hunts.

3. Egg and Spoon Race
Another really easy Easter game that kids will love. All you need is some spoons and eggs, and away you go. I prefer not using real eggs as I hate wasting food. I picked up some really nice wooden eggs that I use year after year.
Make your Easter egg and spoon race more of a challenge by making an obstacle course to navigate through. Have objects to climb over, crawl under, and move around. Issue penalty points to anyone who drops their egg. A lot of fun and super simple to set up.
4. Carnival Can Ring Toss
I’ve made my own version of a carnival-style can toss game in the past using cans from my cupboard, and it’s always a hit. To make things even easier, I’ve created a free printable ring toss game you can use at home without buying anything extra.
The printable includes 10 colorful can designs that you can wrap around tins or containers you already have, plus they are numbered, so you can turn it into a simple points. Great if you want to add a little competition. It’s quick to set up, works brilliantly for Easter parties or backyard play, and can be reused year after year.

Love this idea? Download the FREE printable ring toss game and add an easy activity to your Easter plans.
5. Inflatable Bunny Rabbit Ears Ring Toss
Grab these inflatable bunny ears from Amazon, and play a simple ring toss-style game. OR turn the bunny ears into an active Easter tag-style game. One player wears the bunny ears and runs around while the other players try to tag them.
Once the bunny is tagged, they freeze in place while the tagger throws the rings. The aim is to land the ring over the ears. Each successful throw earns a point for the thrower. If a ring is missed, the bunny scores a point instead. Then swap roles so everyone gets a turn wearing the ears and racing around. It’s a great way to burn off energy and works especially well outdoors. This would be a lot of fun for an Easter party with lots of kids. Availble on Amazon
Happy Easter
Easter games don’t need hours of planning to make an impact. Whether you’re hosting at home or planning something for a group, choosing games that are easy to prepare leaves more time to enjoy the day.
