A fun way to add some fun into giving the school supplies, why not try our back to school scavenger hunt. I promise it is so simple to set up.

This back to school scavenger hunt is a quick, easy, and inexpensive activity for kids. It can be done at home, or in the classroom. It is a great way to relieve some of the pent up stress and excitement of going back to school. Have the kids running around to find their new pencils and crayons.

A couple of years ago I was looking for some new and fun activities for our children. We travelled a lot, and the children were ofter starting a new school in a new country. I had to find ways to get them excited and a little less nervous. A scavenger hunt for shiny news supplies always got them excited.

My chillblains (my pet name for my kids) absolutely love playing games, and this one did not disappoint. It was definitely a win and a fab new tradition I hope you can share with your own family.

This game is super easy to set up and kind to the wallet. All you need is this free printable and some crayons and pencils. I usually start my hunt with a shiny new pencil case (optional) with this printable either attached or inside. The kids then follow the instructions and fill their pencil case with the pencils and crayons as they find them.

• Crayons My daughter loved the scented ones.
• Paper or Card
• Printer I use a HP Inktank. (not available everywhere sadly) It cost more initally but a year on and I’m still only a third way through my ink. I when I say I print a lot I mean A LOT!
• Scissors
