A table filled with pizza and the title "Pizza Party Ideas."

I have a pizza-loving kid, and it is just a win-win party theme. I’m sharing some fun pizza-themed games, decoration ideas, and activities guaranteed to entertain the pizza-chomping crowd. You’ll find plenty of ideas to keep you inspired.

Pizza has to be the spotlight dish at a party, and honestly, that’s exactly how it should be. But if you’re wondering what to serve with pizza, a few simple sides and drinks can turn it into a proper spread without adding extra stress.

Think of pizza as your main event. Everything else is just there to round things out, keep hungry kids happy, and give you options that feel thoughtful but still easy. I like picky food, but a nice fresh salad can cut through all that rich cheese.

Adding one or two easy appetisers is always a good move, even at a pizza party. You don’t need a huge selection. A small mix of familiar favourites works perfectly alongside pizza, such as:

  • Buffalo Wings
  • Mozarella sticks
  • Bruschetta
  • Mini Meatballs
  • Jalapeno poppers
  • Caprese skewers
  • Onion rings
  • Ceasar Salad

These are all crowd-pleasers in my house, super easy to prep or buy ready-made, and they won’t compete with the pizza, they just make the table feel a little more special. The sweet spot is to have a party that looks impressive, feels fun, and doesn’t leave you stuck in the kitchen or break the bank.

Let’s face it, a delicious cheesy pizza will be center stage, but throw in some pizza party games to be the topping you need to make your party pop. These games are simple to set up and, importantly, friendly for all ages.

Pizza Scavenger Hunt

Each player races to collect pieces needed to “build” a pizza (a picture of plain pizza will do the trick) and then decorates their paper pizza with the toppings. Whoever finishes first wins.

Printed out pages for a pizza-themed scavenger hunt on a red checked background.

Pizza Themed Bingo

Pizza Bingo takes the classic and gives it a fun, cheesy spin. Guests of all ages can join in on the fun. Grab this pizza bingo pack from Amazon and use it over and over again!

Pin the Pepperoni on the Pizza

Nothing tops the classic “Pin the Tail” game. Players take turns, blindfolded to place the pepperoni on the pizza.

Pizza Themed Escape Room

I love escape rooms, so it’s an obvious activity idea for a pizza party.

Tomato Relay Race

You can’t have a pizza without a tomato base. Using red balloons decorated to look like tomatoes, have a head-to-head relay race where players must pass the balloon from one player to the next. There is nothing quite like some friendly competition to build up an appetite!

Pizza themed 5 second Game

The Pizza Five Second Game is a fast, quick-thinking party game. You’ll have players shouting answers before they’ve even had time to overthink them. With just five seconds to name pizza-themed things, you are bound to get some hilarious answers. It’s easy to jump into, works brilliantly with mixed ages, and is easy to set up.

Four printed pages with game cards ready to cut out on a green checked background.

Mozarella Beanbag Toss

Print out some images of pizzas and stick them onto a piece of foam board. Cut holes in the pizzas and assign points to each one. Players split into two teams and take turns to throw Mozarella balls (bean bags) into the holes. The team that scores the most points wins.

Pizza Delivery Relay Race

Split into two teams and race to deliver the pizza first. Have players race to collect items. First they need to collect the apron, and the their chef hat. Next it’s time to collect the pizza ingredients. And finally, the pizza box to deliver the pizza. The team leader should dress up in the items and fill the pizza box, the winner is who delivers the pizza box to the designated adult first.

Pizza Trivia

If you are looking for a team game how about a pizza themed trivia. Ask fast, fun questions like:

  • What country did pizza come from?
  • What topping is most popular?
  • What shape is a pizza?

Guess the Topping (Blindfold Game)

Blindfold players and let them smell (or taste, if they’re brave) different pizza toppings. The aim of the game is to guess the topping correctly. Parent sanity tip: Stick to familiar toppings unless you enjoy chaos.

Pizza Box Pictionary

Write pizza-themed words (cheese pull, delivery driver, pepperoni, oven, slice) on slips of paper. Split into teams. Each team takes turns to draw while the rest of the team has to guess. Set a timer to make it more exciting. If the team doesn’t guess in time the opposite team can steal the point if they can correctly guess.

Looking to level up your pizza party even more? Try these fun extras:

  • Use red checkered tablecloths and chef hats for a pizzeria feel.
  • Set up a photo booth with pizza props, chef’s hats, and massive curly moustaches.
  • Have everyone dress up as a famous Italian character. I love any excuse to raid the fancy dress box!
  • Play Italian-style music or create a silly “pizza dance party” playlist.

If you are looking for some ready-made printable activities, of course, I have the perfect bundle!
