Halloween Countdown Ideas

Halloween is a big deal in our house, and we don’t wait until the 31st to start celebrating! As soon as October arrives, we’re ready to get stuck into all things spooky. From making new Halloween decorations to hunting down the perfect pumpkin and, of course, planning our Halloween party, there’s always something going on.

But why cram all the fun into just one night when you’ve got a whole month to play with?

That’s exactly what inspired me to create this Printable Halloween Advent Calendar Jar Kit. I wanted to put together something that would make the countdown to Halloween just as much fun as the big day itself, without dreading having to come up with a new activity every morning.

I’ve bundled together a whole collection of Halloween activities, games and spooky little challenges that you can enjoy throughout October. Simply print out the activities, pop them into a jar and pick one each day. It’s a fun way to build excitement as Halloween gets closer, spend a little extra time together as a family and maybe even start a new Halloween tradition!

I’ve included plenty of ready-to-go activity ideas to get you started, along with blank activity card template so you can add your own. Perhaps it’s your annual pumpkin-picking trip, a Halloween movie night or baking your favourite spooky treats, you can make the countdown completely your own.

And if some of my suggested activities aren’t quite your thing, just swap them out for something that suits your family. There’s also no need to follow a strict schedule either. Pick the activities that work around your plans and enjoy counting down to Halloween together! Perhaps you only want to do a couple of activities at the weekend, no problem!
