My family love Halloween and we usually start celebrating in the start of October. From buying fun new decorations, picking just the right pumpkin and of course, planning the most epic Halloween party. We have a whole month of celebrating planned. Sometimes though I do need a little helping hand and this is where the countdown jar comes in handy.
I’ve created the perfect solution to help you count down to the big day. Inside this simple jar, you’ll find a variety of activity ideas that you can do with your family. Just pull out a slip at random and follow the activity suggested!
Not only do I provide a bunch of ready-to-go activity suggestions, but you can also customize your own using the template. Incorporate your family traditions into the countdown for a personalized touch. If you don’t want to include an activity, no problem, you can create one that suits you better.
And that’s not all! I’ve also included matching printables, from coloring pages to mini puzzles and activities, to enhance the Halloween experience. Get ready for hours of spooktacular fun just by reaching into this jar!
Create your Halloween countdown

- First grab the printable from the link at the bottom of the post.
- If you want to create your own activity suggestions use the blank template in the PDF.
- Next, print out the pdf onto bright white card.
- Cut out each countdown activity and the jar label.
- Assemble the jar and display it somewhere in your home or classroom.
