How to Play the Game

  1. Grab A Jar: Pick your favorite holiday goodies and find a jar to place them inside.
  2. Guessing Sheet: I like to have a sheet for players to write down their guess.
  3. Set the Time Frame: Make sure players know how long they have to guess, whether it’s an hour or two at a party or a week for a school fundraiser.
  4. Announce the Winner: Once all the guesses are in, reveal the candy count. The player with the closest guess wins the jar filled with candy, so simple!

Christmas Candy Ideas

I would avoid anything too small just because I don’t fancy spending hours counting the contents of the jar. Could you imagine counting tiny Nerds? I can feel myself spiraling into a festive candy-counting meltdown just thinking about it. Here are some of my favorite festive goodies:

Creative Ways to Use This Game

  • Holiday Party Fun: Have each guest take a guess as they arrive, then reveal the winner before they leave.
  • Classroom Activity: Let your students guess throughout the week and build their excitement for the big reveal.
  • Fundraiser: This is a fun fundraising activity. Charge a small fee per guess, with the person guessing closest taking away the prize.
  • Small Business Bonus: Use it as an engagement activity for your customers. Encourage guesses and promote your social media accounts for prize updates!
